Seniors tend to access health care more often, and they’ll need services and support to live healthy lives at home. They all significantly affect one’s ability to make healthy choices and to access medical care. Our ability as a community to ensure that people’s basic needs are being met will also impact our resiliency against chronic diseases. As CEO Diane Blake discusses on Page 2, these community needs will guide our vision going forward. She outlines plans we will explore over the next few years. By 2022, about a third of residents in Peshastin and Dryden will speak a language other than English at home. We endeavor to provide a welcoming, bilingual experience. Childcare providers between Leavenworth and Dryden have the capacity to serve just 10% of the children under 5 who live here.
